good investment
I added one two years ago. Its an amazing difference when its really hot. I got mine on this site. Had some problems, buyer be ware. But do it! A couple of tips for what they're worth. If your 25 has the main sheet track on the forward cockpit bench like mine then your space is limited. BUT you can have the rear section made with a slot for the back stay so that you can extend it behind the back stay. There is really no way to meaningfully go forward of the main sheet that I can think of. Also, mine has about 4 inches of material that hangs down on the sides. I've thought of trying to add a couple of bows(? I had no idea they had a name) that extend beyond the sides of the boat to provide more shade. With the short space between the main and the back stay and the need to get it high enough to stand under the shade is real effective at high noon. Later or earlier it tends to throw nice shade to the fish off either side. But you surely want it high enough to stand under (within reason, I'm just 5'10" so it works). I keep the boom at almost the top of its track on the mast to provide clearance between the Bimini and the boom. Not the most effective position for racing but then I ain't racing. I mounted mine dead center of the coaming. At the least you should try to get whoever makes it to bow it our so that the top extends beyoud the coaming. You get the point some shade GOOD, more shade BETTER. The otherhalf is thrilled with the shade. PRICELESS.Don't have any pics with the bimini. Need to take some.
