Where to find S25 serial number

I have found the hull id number on the transom... but... it is partially covered by a bracket. Is there another location (manufacturers plaque maybe) where I can find the number. The documentation has the number and I am certain it is correct. The bracket is virtually impossible to remove and I need to register the boat. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

dosent the previous title show the HIN? Is the boat Documented? You could probably look it up that way with the USCG

Nope. It is only on the transon.

I have an '83 H25 that has the sn on the starboard hull side, up high as viewed from inside the starboard locker. Climb in and take a look.

Nope... not inside that locker

The state (SC) has a problem with the exterior serial number being partially covered anyway. Even if I find the backup number (and there is supposed to be one), I may have to put a plate back there too. Thanks to all of you who responded.
