Where to find a new fuel pickup tube?

After diagnosing a power loss problem to the fuel pickup tube being clogged, I tried to pull it to inspect / replace it. I unscrewed the fitting on top of the tank and started pulling. Since there's not clearance directly above, had to pull at a slight angle leading the polyethylene tube to detach from the fitting and fall back into the tank.

I now need to replace the tube, which there's no way of retrieving. It would go where the black fuel line is in the photo (hopefully attached to this post). I rigged that temporarily to draw fuel from a backup fuel tank. And it goes in the hole where the cork is temporarily.

The outside diameter can't exceed 14mm or about 9/16". The interior diameter seems like 5/16" as that's the size of the temporary fuel line in the photo.

The boat is a 1995 Hunter 336 with a Yanmar 3GM30F. There is also (hopefully) a photo of the fuel tank rating plate.

Any suggestions on where to source or how to make a replacement pickup tube?

Thanks!

Dan

Mine did the same. Bought a length of steel brake line, cut it to the proper length. Emery clothed the end down a few thousands and press fit it in to that elbow shown in your pic.
Been in there near 10 years now, no problem.
Mine was a smaller diameter, but I'll bet if you stop at a local hydraulics shop and they will have stock that will work.

Mines just a brass elbow fitting with a length of copper tubing soldered in, cut to reach about 1/2" from the bottom. No screen at the end.

+1 to Capt JGW... Ours has been that way for at least 20 years. Just pulled the tank for transmission access and all fittings are in great shape.
