Why?
JohnWhy replace a CNG unit with CNG? CNG is becoming difficult to find and costly. Many folks are changing over their own CNG units to propane by switching out the burner orifices and keeping the old hardware (don't know why you need a new stove). If you have the space for the tank to go to propane, you should consider it. If you need a new stove anyway, why not propane? The ONLY reason we still have CNG on our boat is because there is a ready supply within walking distance of our marina and the PO put a second backup tank on board.Propane is much more available outside the US and, now, even within the borders.PSYou're right about the BUs - 'cept if you have a C25, it's still $100, but the length of the boat increases the # of BUs per foot. Don't know whether it's straight line, exponential or logarithmic. I hear there's a thesis being done, probably at UC Davis, on this, to be released the first day of boating 2003!
