Where to drain dehumidifier in frost conditions?

Hi all.
I am lucky enough to have unmetered 220V shore power in my Club marina.

October to March I keep a 220V dehumidifier running on auto (it cuts in when humidity high).

(Obviously I don't *have* to run a dehum but it keeps the boat pleasantly dry.)

I have drained it into the saloon sink which drains overboard via the standard underwater skin fitting.

I'm not happy with the arrangement as it means leaving a (underwater skin fitting) seacock open when boat is unattended.

As an experiment I am running drain pipe into bilge where I have a Rule 12V auto (activated by presence of water) bilge pump.

The bilge pump vents into aft end of the cockpit and overboard via cockpit drains.

What do people think?

Would it be better to directly drain the dehum to cockpit via (a hole in) companionway door?

(I'm not sure it is possible to have the dehum high enough to allow drain pipe to exit above companionway step via a hole through lower "wash board".)

Comments welcome.
