fwiw, you don't want to dive on great issac's bank (north of bimini), or north of West End (GB) (near memory rock), since that's were a lot of the shark encounters occur...

if you stop, wait a little while and see what show up... :D

(there's not much to see around memory rock, but great issac has nice reef)

also, I would NOT recommend spearing fish... sharks are VERY aggressive... (and of course you have to clear in before fishing or diving).

Thanks for all the input.
well so far everything I've heard says that the pocket cruisers (M26!) are just that. (for pockets!)
I was just trying to get a feel for what kind of trips would be realistic on the 26. When I finally do get my boat I'll probably sail the same places I sail my Hobie, then start branching out. Only difference is I won't have to go back the same day if I don't want to, and I'll be a boat I can relax on.
OK not the Bahamas, but ICW, the bays, and maybe some road trips north.
Sum's Lake Powell trip pics look pretty nice. Maybe some short offshore trips where I can still return to cover the same day. Umm I'll have to pay more attention to the current. On my Hobie, I can usually average close to 10 kts. i think. If the Mac averages 4-6 then it'll be a little different.
thanks,
Jim
