I lost my wash bucket and would like to replace it. It had a rubber flap on the bottom to allow bucket to fill from bottom. I cannot find anybody that sells them. Are these still available? Thanks
A five gallon bucket with a bail handle can be dropped so that the open end hits first, falls onto its side and you pull it up before it gets too full. They don't cost anything at any construction site. You just have to scrub the left over dry wall mud out.
I have the bucket, but the rubber flap is in Davey Jones locker. I think it was made by Davis Instrument but in searching their web site, I can't find any mention of it. I suspect it has been discontinued.
I bought one of those "bottomless" buckets at West Marine about 5 years ago. I don't know if they still have them. After a couple of years, the seal on the bottom flap deteriorated, and it leaks slowly but surely. Ok for scrubbing the deck, as I don't mind that the soapy water spills out, but good for little else at this point.
