Can anyone recommend a mail order loft they've had good luck with? Looking for a main & 140 rf of reasonable quality.

On-line lofts.....

I purchased a main and 110 for my 27 std from Air Force Sails last summer. I am very happy with the sails. I had a misunderstanding with them that was attributed to their being newly re-organized. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction, and now, I can recommend them. I paid about $900 for the dacron crosscut club racing main, and $850 for the #3 dacron crosscut blade (this includes UPS shipping). Probably saved about 20-25%. Lin Robson is the guy to contact. Go to Sailnet.com and follow the link to AirForce. Request for quotes are very quick. Although I haven't ordered the sails yet, I plan to purchase a laminated #1 and a gennaker from CuisingDirect.com. They're owned my North. Their prices are too good to ignore, and a friend of mine has had good results with his.

Check out Doyle

You should check out Doyle Sails - they're on this site. I've heard that they're good but ALWAYS check on references, etc. There are lots of decent mail order lofts, it just takes a little weeding. It also depends on your needs - some cater to racers & some to cruisers. LaDonna

I have Doyle sails

I ordered a new Doyle main for my Catalina through this site last summer. They sent me simple measuring instructions and I gave them a couple of basic measurements. The sail arrived within a month and fit perfectly. I've been very please with it. I ordered full battens and an exta reef point, but there are several options. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
