Where is the shower sump button? Cat 30

Hi. We're hoping one of you Catalina 30 owners know the answer to ----how do we find a button or switch to use the sump pump in the head (after a shower). Our model is a 1988 Catalina 30. We know there is a switch on the electric panel which says" water pressure/sump pump." Thanks, Robert Wolfson, 415-789-9079

Sump?

On most C-30's its called the bilge pump. The shower usually just drains into the bilge. I don't believe Catalina had sumps on that vintage of boat.Joe

Shower into Bilge

Hello Robert,I have a 1983 C30 and the shower drains into the bilge. The Sump switch on my control panel turns on the bilge pump, without using the float switch.I think most of the C30's drain into the bilge.Best of luck,Jack"Hey Jude"

My 1988 c-30 doesn't have one

The shower drains into the bilge, which you can than manually pump overboard if you like. I usually do so a soap residue does not build up.

I have a switch

I have a switch on my 83 Cat 30 that is near the forward engine access door. I pull it to manualy start the bilge pump which empties the shower water. This is in addition to the switch on the control panel which must be turned on.
