Glad you enjoyed your trip Dave. Regarding Zebra Mussles, they are tenacious. I have seen pictures of them growing on of all things, bras, and you read that right. Down south, many are concerned about these critters. If you do go into salt water, that kills them. Chorine of any kind added to the ballast tank, not much kills them. I have always suggested a good wash on the outside as well before going into another lake that is not infested coming from one that has a history of Zebra Mussles. Smith Mt. Lake in Virginia does not have them. What many think coming out of the water and left to dry will kill them are wrong. I forget the amount of time without treating before that it takes if left on the trailer without cleaning. If anyone is planning to moor their boat in a lake for some time, bottom paint is highly suggested. Anyway, food for thought.
