Where is the deck water fill intake on a 1985 Hunter 31? I have easily found fuel intake and head pump-out, but for the life of me I cannot find water fill (I am not talking about dockside valve/hookup).

it's in the bottom of the anchor locker

Underneath everything... Not the best of places, but it gives you a chance to wash out the anchor locker before filling the tank.

You have got it Patrick!

Patrick: Thank you for stealing my photo <g>, but there it is by gosh! The one on port side is for the auxillary water tank. The tank is under the aft berth.

H31_83-87 Fresh Water Tank.

Under the Vee Berth? That is where my Holding Tank is. A friend of mine with a H31 made his holding tank into a fresh water tank when he first purchase the boat. Now he has two fresh water tanks, the "real one" under the Port Rear Quarter Berth (with the filler under the little wooden "flap" at the stern AND the "holding tank" which is also piped into the water pump in the rear starboard laz. I think I will keep my Holding Tank as is for when I am in a "no dump" zone, and if I now changed it over to a fresh water tank, the water might not be too "fresh" Someone help me here, did Hunter Marine ever deliver a H31 with the Vee Berth Holding Tank, plumbed as a fresh water tank? weiss318, take out all of the cushions in the rear quarter berth, you should find a group of ss screws that are the lid of the fresh water tank, and If you will remove the wooded hole covers, and look under the interliner, you will see the tank and the hose connections (I also have a small filter under there). The tank filler hose goes into the starboard laz up to the filler under the wooden flap. bill
