Where is better to keep the boat?. WET or DRY

Hi, I live in Costa Rica and usually keep my old boat (1976 28´) in a estuary with water full with microorganism, and I have to paint the bottom with antifouling frecuently and clean the keel and bottom. But recently I remove the boat from the water en keep it in land, considering that this action will be better for its maintenance and care (I discover some blisters and other damage in the fiberglass, and fix it).
But some people here told me that this is a bad decision and I have to put it in water again.

So, what do you think.

IF the boat is a wooden boat, then it should definitely be kept in saltwater...and wet... wood hulls dry out when stored on land for any appreciable amount of time, and that often destroys them. If it is a fiberglass boat, and it has been properly barrier-coated, wet storage isn't a problem.

However, yours sounds like it hasn't been barrier coated and needs to be.... in which case, storing it on land would make far more sense, since that would allow the hull to dry out and give you a chance to barrier coat it and treat the blistering problem properly.

You have a problem. Its very hard to go sailing when its on the hard.

In the water is worse on the boat. But it is easier to use. Nothing can grow on it when it is clean and dry. No electrolysis when it is dry. Long term storage there is no danger of sinking!!!!
