19 vs 23.5

The head such as it is, is much more private on the 23.5 that would be enough for many to opt for the 23.5 over the 19 That is also one of the big reasons we are looking at the 26 over the 23.5

Welcome back!

Yes, indeed! Thanks for the help you gave in the past years. My timing was good and this forum was very active when I got my 1995 23.5 in 2002. Rick Webb - Man, it must be 3 years that you've been trying to trade your 23.5 for a 26! No takers yet, eh? Rick

Hunter 23.5 Smith Mountain Lake
Hello Dave

Hello Dave, I still have and enjoy the 23.5 you sold me about 11 years ago when you were at Smith Mountain Lake. Good to hear from you.

Speaking of Hunter

Dave, I am curious to know why 1) you stopped selling Hunters, and 2) Why you left Smith Mountain Lake. I'm not sure there are any new sailboat dealers at the lake now (at least none that I know of.)

I was selling very few boats at Smith Mountain Lake and most of the sales were coming from North Carolina. Hunter at the same time asked me to open a second location in North Carolina. I remarried and my wife was from North Carolina. Thus I opened with plans to keep my Smith Mountain Lake operation going but it is hard to find good help. With all these reasons, I closed that operation and felt I would not be able to survive. I hope you understand. As for leaving Hunter, it was a very hard decision as I loved and devoted myself to them but I felt I had to leave and with that I will not discuss anything further as it is a very reputiable company and they build good boats. Maybe????????????????????????????????????????????
