I would tell you all.. But then I'd have to kill ya...and that could get complicated.. ;)

Been using the same username for 12 years now, used to make sense, now it's just force of habit...

O S A R, C M P?
Thanks Doc, I can add it to the very long list of things I don't quite understand. Like your user name, have read a lot about the guy. Very interesting fellow.

When I joined I decided to just use my name and added my zipcode to differentiate myself from all the other Charlies out there. It's a great zipcode since Ballard has always been the center of the boating universe in the northwest!

Ok, I'll ask the question that everybody else was thinking; Do you know Jase and Willie, and if you do, would you let them on the boat? (and please don't take that out of context)
No, I do not have the pleasure of knowing them. Hopefully, some day.

(They can always be tossed overboard if need be)

waybad this is the first three letters of my first and last name, I also use it for other sites. I sometimes wonder when I use it in my email to boat manufactures what they must think?

Before this thread is history, I would like to say how informative, revealing, and pleasureable it has been to discover haw many members here are intelligent, educated, and well read. As I begin my trips to the Keys and then to Western N.Y. this spring, It is nice to know I have a good chance of meeting people that can discuss topics other than just the NFL or NASCAR.

My best regards to all, thank you for sharing.

Dave

Mauru 'Uru is Tahitian for Thank You or Thankfulness. More than a decade ago, during a visit to French Polynesia I decided that would be the name of my next boat -if I ever got another. Well I did and it is....

Great thread!

No mystery to my username if one inserts a space after ken.

mrducks,

It's good to see we have you fooled. Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to the track.

Well I am not sure being a football or nascar fan is a sure sign of an idiot and I know that's not what you were saying, but for what it's worth it came awfully close to sounding that way. I'm only missing 2 teeth but still like both NASCAR, and Hockey.

Relax. I am just funnin'

mrducks, I live in Hickory, NC, what is this 'nfl', and 'nascar' that you speak of!?
hehe..They are endeavors that demand the consumption of dozens of cans of beer and strong vocal cords to enjoy correctly, not a problem for the central Florida crowd I live around. Being a rare consumer of such beverages, I don't have the knack, :)

It's the name of my new, used sailboat. I picked a name that denotes a sailboat moving through the water.

I chose a simple name to use on the VHF when calling the Coast Guard or bridge tender.

I hear people calling on the radio with a tricky name, and they have to spell out the name to the receiving party.

Okay, I'll come clean. Douglas Adams' great book The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, has a character named Zaphod Beeblebrox, a megalomaniacal president. His psychologist, when asked to describe him, replied, "He's just zis guy, you know?".
My username on a brewing forum has been Zaphod_Beeblebrox for the last 12ish years.

I've been a "90 pound scrounge" all my life and folks have always called me "Slim, Slim-dilla, Slimster, thin man," you get the idea...I've also been an avid skeet/sporting clays shooter for the last 20+ years so it only made sense to go with ShotgunSlim.

Glad we could be of assistance. The suction cup is rated at 100 mph. Just be sure to tie a string to the case before you stick it to the hull just above the waterline. :D
