Hey gang....

This weekend, my wife and I spent the weekend on the boat. We were asked by another boater where did the sink dump to, and to my surprise, I can not find where it goes?

Any ideas where the water from the sink goes? One owner thought perhaps into the bilge, but I don't think that's right. There is a outsource for the anchor and for the engine, but I can not find a spot for the sink.

I have a 1975 S-2 26.

Thanks!!

on my 9.2 the gally sink drain goes into the bilge....and i think that is a not so good thing ....i am refitting my boat from stem to stearn and am putting a sump box with its own pump and the sump box is a closed box with no removable lid on top ..but it will have a threaded inspection hole 4" and will aford access the the pump and strainer ....hope this answers your question...

Just follow the plumbing. My 9.2A's drain goes out the starboard side just above the water line and is visible in the locker. Yours certainly may go into the bilge.

Thanks guys.... I think that it goes into the bilge, which I'm okay with, as long as it doesn't cause bigger problems down the line.

Of course, the next question is this: If it goes into the bilge, why is there a shut off valve underneath sink?

On my 9.2/C I have two sinks that drain overboard through their own 1/2" seacocks.

Where does the valve terminate? Or is it inline and then the hose disappears into the bilge?

sorry this is more about the 9.2 than the 26 that you have, but my 9.2A used to drain out a thru hull on the starboard side of the fuel tank. that was capped off by a P.O. and the head sink and floor drain, and the galley sink go into a sump under the floor, with a bilge pump.
