My running light on my mast has never worked on my 25.5. I peeled back the insulation on the harness coming out on the top of the cabin and found that the wire for the running light cut off flush with the deck. I metered the wire but no voltage. I want to trace the wire inside back to the source. So I went inside the cabin under the mast, expecting to find a harness, but I can't find where the mast wires come through?? Help thanks.. Ted

It runs on the starboard side

I had a wiring problem with my mast light on my 25.5. It was blowing the fuse when I tried to use it. I had to trace my harness back and it runs in between the head liner and exits out right by the bulkhead on the starboard side. Runs back over the stove and back into the big cockpit locker. Then the harness goes to the power panel. If I were you, I would consider finding this harness and splicing in new wire to run to the mast.

Scott, thanks a bunch!!

All my other running lights work. What I am hoping to find in the harness is the wire for the bow running light. I'll splice a new mast light wire into the bow line. thanks Ted

Steaming light and Mast Head light

Hey Ted, I was wondering which mast light was out. I seem to remember both your lights came on (at the same time) the night we took your boat to St. Augustine. There is a big difference in there use. The steaming light is just above the jib and is used to let people know your motoring. The masthead is used under sailpower and at anchor. I also remember lots of races at night with you on a catamaran with no lights at all, and you tacking in front of a push barge. Check you email, call me this w/end. Lamar
