These are available at WM or most any marine supply outlet. Forespar also makes them too. I do not see any reason to use metal ones but you may be able to find them too.

that would be secure, and it will never come off, ever.... Just 4200 around the flange and let the back of the nut squeeze a little out under it, you don't need it on the threads too.Ok, so I have my deck drains (west marine) and my 4200. They recommend adding 4200 to the threads to secure the nut. Anyone see any problems with this?
enough of a bead that you want it to squeeze out a little, but not so much that cleanup is a pain.Copy! Do I put just a bead around the flange or apply generously and wipe off excess????
