Where Do I Get Aluminum Framed Windows and Standing Rigging Now?

I tried contacting the Vega Association of Great Britain regarding their Vega Spares shop online because when I eventually buy a Vega I'm definitely going to want the aluminum (aluminium) framed aftermarket windows and new standing rigging asap, unfortunately, I haven't heard back from them. Is Vega Spares history? It's likely that when I get my Vega it's going to be last moment so the faster I can get it ready for offshore the better. Ready made wires and windows sure would be nice. I'd also like to replace the chainplates.Any advice on obtaining these items? I'll probably get them in the UK as Vegas are more common there and cheaper than in the USA/Canada (I live on the West Coast of Canada).I'm hoping to buy a Vega next Fall and hopefully do the milk run to the Caribbean after. I dont need much but a safe boat

Hi,the vega spares shop unfortunately does not work anymore. You can buy some items from Sweden, try it here: www.vegamarin.seBe careful with changing the standing rigging. The quality of wires available today is doubtful, in most cases the old swedish steel is much better than the new in the shops from the far east...The aluminum frames for the window is available in the Netherlands, but the set is very expensive, as I now the price is between 1500-2000 USD/set.Karoly
