For a 1981 Hunter 27. When I bought my boat the luff slide retainer was missing. (the little thingy that attaches to the mast that keeps the luff slides from coming out when you drop the main sail) I've been getting along without one so far but it would be nice if the slides stayed in the mast track when I drop my sail. Thanks for the help

Try Rig-Rite.

Rig-Rite carries a lot of the stuff that was standard on our Cherubinis. If you cannot find it on their website give them a call.

Get ready for a shock

I bought one for my L37 after I lost the finger screw. Nearly had a heart attack when I saw the shipping charge for the small part. Unfortunately, I need it and bought it anyway. A mighty expensive finger screw!

Make your own

For internal track, piece of wood dowel to size, stainless screw with washer. Or put a gate on the opening using aluminum door threshold available at any hardware store. Look for the right angle. Cut a piece for each side and screw to mast.

Sail Track Slug

Just about any BoatUS or West Marine sells these sail track slugs for about $7. Look in the sail hardware dept.
