Where are they now – Index of AMF Sailboats

?

AMF was once one of the largest recreational equipment companies in the United States. In late 1985 AMF went belly up in a hostile takeover by Minstar, Inc. and their assets disbursed. Today only the bowling equipment division still exists under the AMF name.

So what happened to all those sailboats AMF bought up from small builders and amassed under their AMF/Alcort Division**?

**Note: After AMF acquired Alcort, Inc. in 1969 they named their sailboat product line the “Alcort Division”, spring boarding off the strong name recognition Alcort, Inc. had built up over its twenty-four year history developing and marketing beach boats. (Alcort, Inc. was the original designer and producer of Sailfish [1945 – 1969], Sunfish [1952 – 1969], and Catfish [1965 – 1969])

If you know of a boat that's been left off the list, a source for boat specific parts, or a website for support, please help build on this information.
