North Of I 10

It's obviously north of I 10, which is my limit on heading north this time of year. And the way the weather has been lately, may have to re adjust my thinking to farther south.

Bingo! Quebec City... Damn that was too easy.. Fun poking around the boat yards today, but cold!!!

Beautiful, though the river sailing seems like it could be a tack fest...

The icebreaker in the background plus the angle on those roofs give it away.

Great place .... that area is probably the ONLY area in the entirety of North America that has GOOD FOOD !!!!!! (I 'have' to learn to speak French Canadian, though)

Best regards

When you are in Québec City, you will find the members at the Yacht Club de Québec are impressively hospitable (whether you speak English or French). The Club is a mile or so further up the River from where the first picture was taken. If you ask, they will tell you about their hosting of Transatlantic races. They are also are a wealth of knowledge if you are cruising further down the St Lawrence. Their initiative established the harbour at Cap à l'Aigle for the convenience of cruisers.

The picture shows the YCQ yacht basin at low tide. High tide is 15-19 higher!

Oui, c'est vrai! Oops I mean this is true - the restaurants in Quebec City are outstanding. Montreal also has amazing food.
