When to Replace Opening Hatch Seal?

The plexiglass on my Bomar extruded opening hatch over the V birth has cracked and needs replacement. I'm up for a DIY replacement. The seal on this hatch is the kind that clips over the edge of the hinged hatch frame and its upper edge therefore contacts the underside of the plexiglass. This means that the seal can only be replaced when the plexiglass is removed. After many years of service the seal looks OK..... perhaps a bit squished but it's hard to tell.

Is the seal likely OK if it looks OK? Yes money is a consideration or I would just go ahead and replace it anyway! They are not cheap.

How about the O-rings under the latch mushroom heads? Are they also good if they look good?
