When to fly the Genoa and when not to - 78 O'Day 23

Hi everyone,

Curious when is the correct wind conditions to fly my Genoa and when are the correct conditions to fly my jib.

It depends on the crew and perhaps if you are looking for a relaxing sail for an excilerating sale. Generaly we have to reef ours in anything above 15 because we will round up if we do not. Above 10 use your jib if you wish to relax or you have new sailors aboard.

Ditto. Below 10, we fly the genoa. Above this, we will reef down to something close to 100%. Over 15, it's fully reefed. Otherwise, the crew complains loudly.
