We are planning to move our boat to Wheeler Lake in northern Alabama. Looking at the chart there are many areas of standing timber from when the lake was formed. But the lake is getting pretty old. Is the timber still a hazard to navigation??? I assume tht you can still lose and anchor to a stump but are there still trees standing high enough to hit with a keel or prop???
