I purchased a 1995 26ft hunter last august. It has an Edson steering system with a single 12 ft cable contecting the wheel to the rudder. I am having trouble keeping cables from bending and becoming usless. The are bending inside the pedestal where they connect to the chain. I called Edson and they said they never heard of that problem. I am on my second cable and have not owned the boat for a year yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
