Wheel size and shaft size 37c

Hi all, just saw a 40" Lewmar folding wheel for sale for 450 and was wondering If anyone could give me the size of the wheel and the shaft hole dia for a the 37c. Unfortunately we're not at the boat and can't send anyone down there either. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure your pedestal is this one, same as mine: http://www.edsonmarine.com/marinest...info&cPath=84_91_255_256_260&products_id=1721 . So that is a one-inch shaft and NOT tapered. Diameter of 40" sounds right.
I keep the shaft lubricated so the wheel comes off easily. When swimming or socializing I just set the wheel on the coaming inside the lifelines.

Thanks Ed, I've got a wheel pilot on it so pulling it off when not in use is an issue, so this may be a partial solution.

That's why I like my Simrad WP30, no problem removing the wheel. Always thought I would install a below deck unit but now the boat and I are too old.
