I would like to install a wheel pilot, but have been unable to figure out how to get around the enclosed wheel post. Anyone that has installed a ST4000 or the like please respond.
I installed an ST4000 on my B331 - it works well and was easy to install - I simply used a hole saw to make a hole to clear the motor ( 1/2 in. oversize ) - for the torque pin I screwed and epoxied a wood block inside the pedestal and then drilled a tight fit hole to receive the torque pin which was also secured with epoxy. The final touch was to use a rudder drain stopper disc with the centre cut out to act as a closure to cover the clearance around the motor.
