What tack is he on?

Is this one of @Brian D ’s puzzles?
-or-
Is the spinnaker on the wrong tack?

Honestly I can’t tell. It looks to me like the clew is on the wrong side of the forestay. What say y’all?

Yeah, seems like the sheet should be on the outside of the forestry.

Sorta like Brian’s spinning illusion. I can see it correctly at times but most of the time it looks wrong to me.

I can't believe how ugly that cabin profile is. J boats are usually so sleek and beautiful. J501 huh? Not for me.

It might also be that our friend Kermie is looking at the image after a nip of the nog on this winter evening. Tired of flexing his shoulder and yearning to feel the breeze brace his cheek as he an the boat become one.

It’s like the cell towers that are supposed to look like trees. They fail miserably.
I don't think they put those in around here. They just go ahead and let you look at a cell tower. The problem for me is, everytime I see a tall pine tree standing out above the other trees, I think, 'another ugly cell tower trying to look like a tree', instead of, 'what a unique looking and very tall tree.'
So, I see a lot more cell towers around here than others might.

The 105 looks perfectly normal on starboard tack, but that kite looks like it was flown in battle during the War of 1812. Tons of patches from canonshot damage, including being torn almost in half.

Easy! The yacht is running wing and wing to the left. The asymmetric is to port, and the main to starboard.
That is it. It was hard for me to see until you pointed this out. I thought it was on a port tack and then it was clearly wrong.
