I can't remember if it's 1" or 1.25". Can someone help me out?

Thanks,

Joe-

I have a 3GM30F in a 2000 340, and it has a 1" shaft. Pretty sure that's fairly standard for that motor. Hope that helps.

Errr. When I buy shaft zinks they are 7/8". And they fit perfectly.

Kmart your 7/8" shaft might have been replaced by a PO. All 2 GM20 and 3GM30 installed by Hunter in that era were using 1" shafts. As is mine also. And the one time I mistakenly grabbed 7/8" zincs at the chandler, they did not fit properly as there was a gap between the two halves.
I could possibly have successfully closed that gap by tightening the 2 stainless machine screws beyond normal but felt that I would weaken the zincs themselves by forcing them to open up more than designed for. The one inch zincs fit like a glove.
