I am a newbie as well, but my guess would be winch handles.
I thought that too but they were a bit narrow when I tried the put one of the winch handles in.

Ah well, They are all broken so I think I will just remove them.

Thats where the legs for the cockpit table go so you can eat the food in those good looking takeout containers. :D This way the table has some ridgity. Just kidding. Like everyone has mentioned, that for your winch handle. I also clip my handheld VHF to the outside while underway. Yours look like they could use replacing. Get the soft rubber ones rather than the rigid plastic.

They are winch handle pockets. I suspect the original winch handle was smaller then the current makes. I'm sure using the wider handles in those pockets are why the tops are all broken up.

Get some newer ones that fit the current winch handles and replace those.

Those probably were at one time (in a galaxy far, far away) both soft and big enough.. but the UV has done its job on 'em.. either replace or remove... in cockpits with an exit out the back and no lip, they can keep ya from having the handle go overboard.. Probably not a problem on our 33..

Those are specifically designed for coors light cans and bottles. when those are empty it becomes an ash tray.
