Whats a good through Hull Depth System?

I was thinking of adding one to my h23.5 with as little or no drilling as possible....

how about no drilling?

Get one of the puck-type transducers that you epoxy to the hull, no drilling necessary!

Location, Location, Location

Location is the key and on a WB you're limited! You can't shoot through the water ballast tank and you want to be on the center-line. Mine is mounted under the aft berth. Just pull up the most forward cover and put it there. It's far enough aft of the keel-board to avoid the turbulence. I'd like to have it up forward but there's foam and no clear access to the hull. Look at another post on this site for more details. My transducer is the standard Garmin unit used for outside transom mounting. Looks like a small hockey puck with wires. Ken S/V WouffHong
