I am considering buying a C-22. It is in an impounded boat auction at a local marina. Typical of distress sale boats this one is kind of dirty and has some obvious problems which I have discussed in my blog, posting titled Why Good Old Boat May Be In My Future. See my signature for blog link. I would like information on things to look for in evaluating the condition of this boat.
What specific problems have shown up in this model over the years? It is a fixed keel model with an outboard on transom bracket even though it has a well in the cockpit. I am not able to examine the boat out of the water prior to the sale which is on June 24. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
