What to do with the LPG tank?

Trying to figure out what to do with the LPG tank. A previous owner had put it in the space that used to hold the CNG. a space that is burried in the starboard cockpit locker? Not safe and my insurance company insisted it be disconnected.There are plenty of LPG lockers on the market, but no where I would want to give up the space for 1. I could hang it off the stern-rail, but that offers its own problem....what to do?

Actually, I think a lot of people agree that's the best spot for it. Some friends own a Morgan 38 and had a fiberglass shop custom-make a locker that is kinda sorta molded to the contour of the stern rail and stern and it looks nice and works well and I recall they didn't pay an arm and a leg for it; just a bit more than a commercially produced one. I'm no expert on propane per se, but this is just an idea. Maybe someone will have a better one.

Rainbow Chaser(Link below). The lockers would not have to be that big if you used the smaller tanks.Also the area under the coaming, all the way aft and to starboard. A good figerglas person could open up the coaming and build a locker in there. On my H37C, though, that is where the refer compressor is located.

Easy solution for stern rail

Those attractive stainless fender racks almost perfectly fit the tall, slender six pound tanks. They come with the fittings to mount on the stern rail. Just a few dollars and a few minutes, and there is your "locker". NO muss, no fuss, looks fine. If you want to make it bullet proof, run a line or bungy over the top of the tank, so if you do a 360 roll...you can still have hot coffee when you come back up!

Stern rail fender cage

Thanks for the info -- Storm Chaser's solution works, but I am sure that I don't like the look.I had sort of decided on the stainless fender cage mounted to the stern rail. There is no good place for it, but what can you do. and secured with a piece of rope or tie-down it should be fine.Just didn't want to overlook any options. Thanks again.
