On my 72 O'Day 23 I need to put a shutoff valve on the head intake outlet. Does anyone know what size threads the outlet is? What is the best way to measure them, without removing it from the hull?
I've got a '72 23' also! I love mine, although I am selling it, as I'm now a partner in a bigger boat. But, I'm pretty sure the 23's didn't come with a head originally. A porta-potti at best. Mine had one thru hull fitting for the sink/ice box. You'll probably need to find out who manufactured the head on yours, and see if they can tell you the size. Good luck!
