What size prop? Just a straight answer, please

Hey there,I have a bastard model C30 sr w/uni 25xp. I believe the prop is a 3 blade 12x12???What is the standard prop size in both 2

Hello,The prop specs out to be 12” x 12” three blade and a 12” x 14” two blade. I believe that the C30 was originally designed with an Atomic 4 in mind, which accounts for the 12” diameter. The 25XP was is a drop in replacement, sorta, for the gas 4. Because the Atomic was a 1:1 reduction and your 25XP is a 2:1, the prop and pitch relationship is out of proportion due to the reduced propeller speed of the 25XP. Hope this helps. Kevin

The Right Prop

CDI has an Extendo prop designed around the hull configuration of a Catalina 30 to allow a 15" prop to fit where currently only a 13" can fit. It's designed for motors such as the XP-25. It will give 30% more thrust in fwd than the 13" prop and even more in reverse. Cost is $280.00. All you have to do is unbolt your old prop and bolt the new one on.
