I am adding a MRBF Temrinal fuse block to my electrical system.
My house current draw is approximately 20 amps and will go down as I switch over to LEDs.
For that I plan to wire for 40 amps and use a 40 amp MRBF fuse. 6' run of #12 or #10 wire from battery to breaker panel.
Does anyone have an idea of the approximate current draw of a 9.9HP Yamaha Outboard when starting?
Do I need to go to a higher amp fuse or add a double fuse terminal and fuse the outboard seperately?

Thanks

Ward,

I would probably go with a double post and a 40A for DC loads and 100-125A for the motor. I would suggest 10GA wire for the DC loads so you're meeting the 3% voltage drop requirements for critical circuits such as nav lights. Heck just plugging in a computer can burn 9A....

Thanks Maine. I also decided to go with the Blue Sea horizontal 8 breaker panel. About $60 than building a panel from scratch but will save me alot of time and the Defender sale closes that gap.
