What's heavier a pound of feathers or lead?
No offense but 6 horsepower is 6 horsepower whether it is delivered by a 2 stroke, a 4 stroke,horses, or a team of sled dogs. Different engines have very different power curves however with four strokes generally providing more power at lower RPM's while 2 strokes like to run at very high rpm's. 4 strokes will pollute less and idle or troll better. 2 strokes have a much higher POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO because there are a lot fewer parts inside them they are lighter. 4 strokes will get better fuel economy (hardly matters on a 6 hp motor) because on a 2 stroke the exhaust port is still open when the intake port opens allowing some raw fuel mixture to escape.
