You sound like me. My house is 96 years old. Been fixing it up for over 30. Most of my reading is journals and manuals.
I have a road bike that I take to and from the YMCA mostly. Also keeps me in shape for sking. We were at Crested Butte in Feb.
Up to 1979 yes, but the later years had a custom drivetrain using a 454 and a TH475. Custom transfercase with the drive shaft running forward. Dana 70 running in reverse for the front axle has its limitations. I've broken it twice. Last time it was rebuilt, we cryro'd it, and added bearing girdles. So far, so good. The guy who has me beat has the 502 with a blower. He's only running the stock 3 spd, but I pretty sure he can still take me.Yup, the 502 BBC should move a coach pretty well

Thanks Dave. I built the T bucket about 5 years ago and sold it last year. I really enjoyed that car and often miss it. I did a lot of one of a kind things on it that I was very proud of. All alum 99 Cadillac Northstar DOHC 4 vlv per cyl (yes was transverse mounted) engine mated to a T-5 5 speed trans (all proper hot rods have 3 pedals). I designed and built the ITB injection system in my garage using two sets of heavily modified throttle bodies from a GSXR 600 bike mated to home made manifolds. reprogramed Holly ecm. I never weighed the car, but it had a huge power to weight ratio (~325 hp). totally impractical, but impossible to drive without a permanent smile.

I have way too many hobbies, but they primarily revolve around being outdoors. Surfing, fishing, photography, camping, hiking and biking make up the most of it.
Fishing, hunting, golfing, diving, tennis, skiing, traveling, blacksmithing... Life is just to damn short!!! and now I'm in study mode till exams in October and the sailboat will be on the hard for a second season next to the shop, I want my life back!! Oh well, it will all be worth it when I'm done. I'm sure glad I have you good folks on SBO to keep my sailing dreams for the future alive!
