We just picked up this sailboat from some friends. i been researching to see what kind of sailboat it is but haven't found anything like it. The boat is about 25-35 years old and came from Vancouver, where i understand they were quite popular for racing. The sailboat is 15' long and seats 2 in a kayak-like hull with a pontoon on each side. it has two sales (a main mast and a jib) and foot pedals for steering the rudder. Any information about this boat would be greatly appreciated.

I'll bet...

...it started life as a kayak and someone added an outrigger and a mast to it to make it a sailing kayak.

Good day This Kayak looks like an older style Folboat Inc. Charleston S.C. I have one that I bought in 1968. aluminum tubing frame, Naugahyde skin, and wooden hand rails and ribs. It can cary about 500 lbs. Fair Winds, AL

Thank you

Thank you to those who replied. Indeed, it does appear to be some type of kayak with an outrigger. At least now I know what it is and where to start looing for information. Many thanks.
