What kind of paint to use on berth/settees?

Hi folks, getting ready to replace the starboard and v-berth berth/settees.
Bought some marine plywood.
My question is this; when done what kind of paint shoud I use?

Jack, Go to the Sherwin Williams store and tell them what you are planning. They can sell you a proper primer and a top coat enamel that will be as durable as any marine paint at a fraction of the cost.

I'm in complete agreement with Ross. After a main cabin layout modification, I painted the entire interior of my boat with gloss white Rustoleum. I feel it's a good, durable, high solids oil based paint available everywhere at a reasonable price.

Why not stain and seal. Wood is plasing to the eye and gives the boat a warm homey feel.

an inexpensive solution is to see your local hardware store or home center and get white one-part polyeurethane deck enamel for your project. It will result in a nice gloss finish, be hard to stand up to wear and tear, and be easy to keep clean. Use the recommended primer first, and don't be afraid to apply it with a brush to get a good thickness.
