The rubber hose that looks like it has been wrapped in tape that holds the Centerboard Pendant, where could I find a replacement? Would a Shields rubber radiator hose rated at 400 psi be suitable? When replacing this rubber hose, what sealant should I use on the lower portion that attaches to the bottom of the boat? I do have the new pendant. The one that is there now looks original to this boat. This boat was used a few years than parked, sold and parked again and everything seems original. The hose that is now there seems a bit mushy in the bend and I would assume that if it failed, we would be taking on water rather quickly. Thank you. By the way I have a 1988 O'day 25.

I haven't really taken a close look at mine lately but I think that I would replace mine with a clear vinyl reinforced hose similar to what I used to replace my self bailing cockpit hose. This hose can be purchased in a hardware store. I didn't use any sealant on it and I wouldn't use it on the centerboard pendant line pipe hose.

Ive just received from West Marine two hoses that are rated at over 500 psi. They look like the original hose that held the centerboard pennant. This hose was 1" inside Dia. The other hose was for the galley sink. This hose was also rated real hi as far as PSI. Thanks for your response. Daysailer
