My cockpit drain exits the transom of my boat slightly to the side of where it goes through the floor. I took the old plastic hose off and went to the auto parts store and found a radiator hose with a perfect shape for what I needed. I used the old hose to get close. It looks great and should last as long as I need it to.

What size do you need? Do you current drains ever clog?

Our boat had piddly little cockpit and bench drains that would clog with 2 small leaves and a twiglet. Or one wet pussywillow. I upsized to about an inch and a quarter hose, which means the fitting openings are just under an inch. I used sanitary hose because it's slippery inside, is fairly rigid and maintains it's circular cross-section even through bends.

These days your insurance company wants you to use approved hose on anything below the waterline

Like a TRC-10003441B SEAFLEX 3/4"X 12.5'

I still need to pick up a few more hose clamps

Size seems right, about one and half inch. It doesn't really clog unless I park under a tree in the fall.
