Thanks for the picture. If that is the top of the ballast tank (glued on I suppose) then it appears they cover it with a layer of fiberglass also when they install the galley. Would that be correct? In any case, I assume one would not want to be drilling any holes in this area.
If you also look under the settees, V and rear berths as well, you will see a raised hump as you would call it which is the lid to the water ballast tank that is bonded to the hull and you are correct not to drill holes thru that.
Thanks for the enlightenment. I thought there might be stringers under there; never dawned on me that it might be the top of the ballast tank. Sure glad I asked and sure appreciate the replies..
