Have owned a 1985 28 for about 7 months now, getting her back into shape, etc.

Still trying to figure out what the small starboard cockpit locker is meant be. has a drain port (to drain into cockpit) and faced with a wooden "side".

I've attached a picture (not my boat). Manual/diagrams are silent about this locker.

Any clues?

Whatever your little heart desires.

Winch handles to beer and everything else in between.

Your boat, your choice. :waycool::biggrin:

We used ours to store the gas can for our dinghy outboard, and small propane cylinders for the grill. They're relatively safe there because any vapors will drain out to the air, rather than the port lazarette which would keep vapors in the interior.

Its for propane tanks. It has to be a separate locker with a drain in case the tank leaks so that the propane cannot go down into the boat.

I put propane in mine. It will drain out the bottom and through the scupper to the outside without entering the boat

O'day called it the ADRC : Alcoholic - Drink - Retention - Area. Very handy when the paycheck pirates are cruising by for a gander at you.
