Actually i have replaced the one shown in my photo with a normal cigarette type one. Reason; i never managed to find the "male" part of that plug/socket. Probably it's common in France, have no idea.

I don't know looks pretty simple to me...See better picture of said subject below.

Looks simple and is probably installed in some Beneteau models. But have you actually ever seen them or their 'male' part in shops? I cannot even find them in the internet! That's why i replaced it with the cigarette type (there are better of course) which you find them everywhere. Do these strange sockets have a name? I cannot even find them in the hella marine site.

Weeeh solved it.

It is not a fog horn, gas detector or water alarm.

Ron and Philip you were right on spot ;)

It is a a 12V plug produced by Hella.

It's a 12V plug for a foghorn !!!! :-;
