What is this - Part 2

Hi

On the slide that let's me into my cabin on my Mac 25 there is this vent. It is broken and needs replacement but I can't seem to find it anywhere. My guess is that it is not called a vent, but something else. I am not really sure that I even want the same thing in replacement but it seems that if it is in good shape it lets air into the cabin but not anything else. As you can see in the inside photo there is an old mud dabber nest so clearly, the "keep everything else out" is not working anyway.
I would appreciate any help possible in formally identifying the item so I can either order a replacement or put something better (open to suggestions) in its place. The size is approx 13 1/2 inches by 14 inches. Oh, and please ignore that old, silver, in terrible shape, wood for the slide that you see in the photo. The new ones have already been cut and finished and just waiting to be installed.
Thanks in advance for the education and assistance.

I believe that's an air cowl. It's intended to let air in while keeping most of the water out.

Thanks. That makes sense. What I'm finding as I learn more and more is that I can lookup almost any part once I know the correct name.

That one is an old one that was made for camper top venting on a camper or RV or pickup bed topper.. I recognize it but can't find it.. If there is a name embossed anywhere, or a model number embossed in/on it, you may be able to find it..

I understand completely. After searching for shroud adjuster covers for three days using every name I could think of I finally asked on here and someone told me that they are called turnbuckle boots. After that I found them easily. :)
