It looks like a cross between a Sloop and a Small Trawler, Sloower or Trawlop?
Spotted at BI.

I bet it doesn't point very high. Looks cool though.
Not sure why you'd say that? It's a cruiser for sure, probably has a long keel so yes, it's not going to point like a 12 meter or a J35, but how is that relevant? And my old cruiser with those features pointed just fine for what I asked of it.

Anyway, no, I don't have any idea - I haven't seen that kind of deckhouse design before. Someone on the forum will probably know.

I do have to say that deckhouse would have been damn nice on some windy April days on Lake Michigan ;-)

looks sort of like a Willard 8 ton. They used the same hull for a sail boat, motor boat and something in between.

Almost bought one many years ago.

It is a Willard motorsailor. Based on the Vega hull, they produced the trawler, the Willard 8T and several motorsailors. I owned a 1976 8 Ton a few years ago and found it to be surprisingly good under sail. It didn't point like a fin keel boat but was comfortable in any conditions. Had lots of windage and was 18,000 lbs. of displacement in a 30 ft. package so needed upgraded ground tackle. If you have a chance to buy this boat I'd heartily recommend it if you're looking for a heavy weather boat.
Best Regards,
Darrell

By he way, the Perkins was under the cockpit sole and utilized a v-drive to keep the powerplant compact. Very difficult to work on.
