Wherever you put it you should make a label for it that says something such as 'do not install after turning on power' or label with a sharpie 'Only Install After...~&#% ^&* ~~~' while making sure to keep the secondary instructions illegible.

I hope you remember making that suggestion when the boat’s future owner comes along to this site asking “so I found this weird looking thing with this very strange label. What could it be?”
