I am installing halyard blocks, organizers and clutches to run lines aft on an older 27. Does anyone know what lenght SS bolts I should bring along? Jeff

Depends

on where you're going to mount them. If it's thru the beam that spans the cabin under the mast, they're very long, at least 4", and as I recall of varying lengths. I did mine about 12 years ago, and all I remember was that they were very long. Why don't you just decide where you want them and what diameter bolt you need, drill the holes and see how long the holes are?

Glad you mentioned

the beam support. I did not think of it being reinforced. I thought the cabin top was all the same thickness maybe 1 1/2". I will need the longer bolts for the mast halyards and the organizers. I will have to drill and then go back out to mount. Should I mount using 4200 as a sealant? Thanks

I used Silicone,

but having had a very bad experience trying to remove something setup with 5200, I'm paranoid. 4200 might be fine. I just don't like the idea of anything being "permanent" on a boat.
