What is the Catalina 30 "Boat class"

Having never raced before I am in the middle of filling out the regatta application. I know this is a really dumb question, but what does Boat Class refer too. Is the answer just Catalina 30, or does it mean something else. I have filed out everything else on the form, I however have left this blank for now.

That is dependent on your event

The only way to answer that question is to read the Notice of Race. That document will describe the classes of entrants, and from this, you should be able to select the correct Boat Class (actually, the Racing Class). Steve Alchemist C-320
